Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and giving Krishna consciousness to the world.
Today, we have a rare and precious opportunity to preserve that sacred birthplace for generations to come In our Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, the birthplace of the Supreme Lord and His pure devotees is regarded with great reverence. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu Himself visited the birthplace of His spiritual master, Sri Isvara Puri, accepted the dust of that holy place, and glorified its spiritual significance.

History & Permanent Protection
In 2001, Srila Gour Govinda Swami Mahashaya Poorvaashrama Trust was established to spread the glories of Srila Gurudeva. The Trust exists specifically to protect and develop the Janma Sthan.
The Trust is presently managed by devotees connected with Srila Gurudeva’s service and Srila Prabhupada’s mission.
No trustee or individual member may sell the property or personally benefit from it. If the Trust is ever dissolved, its assets transfer to Sri Radha Gopal Jiu Temple, ISKCON Gadeigiri.
In 2003, Srila Gurudeva’s sons and family members transferred the original birthplace property to the Trust after receiving another parcel of land nearby. Their offering created the opportunity to preserve this sacred place for the benefit of human society.
